Website Review: Wowjutsu

This site is about Arena 5v5/PvP, but I wanted to post about this site because it is something WoW players have wanted for a long time and ironically something Blizzard could've easily incorporated into their site years ago. What am I talking about? WowJutsu the Automated World of Warcraft PVE Guild Rankings.

Look no further WoW players, you wont have to troll your realm forums any more or make silly lists of which guilds on your server have killed what boss or who is #1, all you have to do is open up this site and click on your server and its already done all the work for you. You will no longer have to go to sites like boss killers and manually update your guild's progression while you sit there and know its not 100% because some guilds are just too lazy or don't care to update theirs or don't even know about the site, you will never know what your true status is. Wowjutsu has just changed all that and made everything before it obsolete; as long as you log off with your new loot it will be 100% accurate.

It has break downs of what instances guilds are doing with 99.99% of them fighting bosses in Karazhan 6 months after Burning Crusades release while only 40% can kill Gruul and only 15% can kill a boss in Tempus Keep or SSL. More interesting is that less then 1% of the guilds in the US can zone in and beat a boss in Black Temple with only 7 having killed every boss in TBC.

How does it work? Easy this site automatically scans the armory to check the gear your guild is wearing, if a player is found with a new piece of gear attributed to a new boss your guild hasn't beaten your guilds ranking will go up! All you have to do is log off each night with the shiny purples you get when beating a new boss, something WoW players have no problem doing!

Find out where your guild stands! http://www.wowjutsu.com

a problem this site has is that a lot of people log off in their pvp gear... speaking of pvp gear, it'd be interesting if someone does a pvp version of this site

There is another much bigger problem which the site is unable to combat. This is people transfering down. Either going from a guild that has gotten farther on content to one that hasn't on the same server or by doing a cross server transfer.

This is also though less frequently effected by people raiding outside there guild. This occurs much more in corrupting khara and gruul level guild's so no one really cares.

According to their site, once a player is seen with a piece of gear it is locked into that team, even if he switches servers.

In inspected someone on my guild who switched servers after getting gear with us and it still listed him with us with this afterwards "nickname >> New guild name here".
